Configuring Email - Outlook

Please note that we are required to make some important changes to our mail server. These changes are necessary to ensure that we are not used as an open mail relay which could be used for spam. Most customers will be unaffected by this, however, for those of you who have problems you may require to follow the steps below. Below are the instructions for MS Outlook.



    

1. Open Outlook. Now choose Tools > E-mail Accounts.

    

2. Under E-mail select "View or change existing e-mail accounts"

    

3. Select your email account and click on change

    

4. Check that the "User Name" matches your email address(NB in the account name the @ is replaced by !)


    

5. Click on more settings, select "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication and make sure that "use same settings as my incoming mail server" is selected.
